VIP TICKETING SERVICE:
The Virginia Arts Festival is pleased to offer this service, so whether your group has difficulty with stairs, or your working on a student budget, we will assist in finding and holding the right seats for you group.
GREETINGS
Some call it: "Southern Hospitality, we call it...Service!"
Since we are so pleased to have your group attending the 2012 Virginia Arts Festival, we would love to greet you and welcome you when your bus arrives. Please ask for this service at the time of your booking so we can make sure we have you scheduled.
COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS:
Groups receive complimentary tickets for driver and escort when at least 25 tickets are purchased for groups arriving by bus/motor coach.
PARKING AND DROP-OFF/PICK-UP:
We provide you and/or your bus driver with information on dropping off your group and picking up your group as well as available parking at each venue. This information is mailed prior to each performance.

Pre- and Post-Performance Discussions with Artists
These lively discussions are offered one hour before or one hour following the classical series concerts. Led by Virginia Arts Festival staff, these events offer a wonderful opportunity to learn about the music and composers you will be hearing in the evening's concert. It is also a chance to meet with renowned artists and get special access and insights to the performance. Event locations vary throughout spring.
Master Classes
Give your students a once in a life time opportunity to have one-on-one instructions with virtuoso artists. In conjunction with Performing Arts Consultants these master classes are presented by University and Professional musicians at local community venues so whether your group is an orchestra, a drill team, or chorus – we will “partner” your group with world class performers and musical educators, giving your students access to these master artists’ gifts, knowledge, and experience.
PERFORM! Opportunities for your student ensembles to perform as part of the Festival
Sign up for on-stage or in-lobby performance opportunities for student ensembles prior to select 2009 Virginia Arts Festival events. Your students will perform for a public audience. Chairs and music stands, or choral risers, will be provided; all you have to do is choose the date that fits with in your school calendar, offered complimentary with the purchase of event tickets.
Performance and Competition Weekend (April 27-29, 2012)
In one whirlwind weekend, April 27-29, 2012, your students can do it all – perform in a spectacular parade through on of Virginia’ most beautiful cities, join in a performance adjudication with other student ensembles from across the U.S., and then cap the weekend with a gala awards ceremony honoring your work! And through the weekend, you’ll find opportunities to treat yourself and your students to great performance in the Virginia Arts Festival, including the Virginia International Tattoo performance.
