Just as he revolutionized the music of the concert hall, Igor Stravinsky transformed ballet forever, leaving a legacy of scores that marked a half-century of innovation in dance. In this electrifying evening, Norfolk’s acclaimed Todd Rosenlieb Dance recreates Stravinsky’s groundbreaking “dance cantata,” with its mesmerizing , percussive vocal and instrumental score spiking the dance. This Stravinsky evening includes a humorous take on Stravinsky’s Octet for Wind Instruments, that proves there is no such thing as “no strings attached.”
